1How do I register?

  1. Log on to www.jaagore.com

  2. Select Register to Vote

  3. Once you've filled in all the details correctly, click generate form to create the form 6 that you need to submit

  4. Once your form 6 is generated, you can either Print the form.

  5. Once your form is ready, along with all the supporting documents, hand it at the ERO in your locality.


2How will I know where to vote?

Your voter ID card (EPIC card) lists your polling booth. Booth locations will be announced by the Chief Electoral Officer of your state.


3Do I need my voter ID card (EPIC card) to vote?

In Andhra Pradesh, it is mandatory as per the Electoral Commission of India to provide EITHER EPIC card or any other photo ID proof in order to vote. As long as you are already on the rolls and have photo ID proof you can vote but an EPIC card is recommended..


4Why would I need to change my voter registration?

There are a few cases and the forms you need

  • If you are a new voter and have never been registered before. You need Form 6 to Register

  • If you have moved to a new address in the same constituency, you need to fill form 8A

  • If you have moved to a new address in a new constituency. New address, different assembly constituency you need to fill from 6

  • If there is an error in your details , you need to fill form 8 to change it

  • If you need to be removed from the rolls, (the entry has moved, is disputed, or is deceased) You need to fill form 7


5What else do I need to provide to register to vote?

For ALL cases, you need:

  1. Copy of photo ID (passport, drivers license, student ID, etc)

  2. Address Proof:

    • Bank / Kisan / Post Office current Pass Book

    • Ration Card

    • Passport

    • Driving License

    • Income Tax Assessment Order

    • Latest rent agreement

    • Latest Water / Telephone / Electricity / Gas Connection Bill for that address, either in the name of the applicant or that of his / her immediate relation like parents etc. ; or

    • Any post / letter / mail delivered through Indian Postal Department in the applicant's name at the address of ordinary residence.

    If proof of residence is in someone else's name, you need to prove the relationship with a copy of your birth certificate (for parents) or marriage certificate (for spouse)

  3. Age Proof:

    • Birth certificate issued by a Municipal Authorities or district office of the Registrar of Births & Deaths or Baptism certificate

    • Birth certificate from the school (Govt. / Recognized) last attended by the applicant or any other recognized educational institution ; or

    • If a person in class 10 or more pass, he should give a copy of the marksheet of class 10, if it contains date of birth as a proof of date of birth

    • Marksheet of class 8 or class 5 if it contains date of birth

    • Passport

    • PAN card

    • Driving License

    • Aadhar letter issued by UIDAI

    If you are below the age of 22 (so age 18-21), you will also need a certified copy of your birth certificate.
