BCCHI was estabalilshed in 1984 and was regisstered as a trust in Mysosre. Initially (1984 to 1998), the focus was on creating awareness on cancer & conducting cqancer camps in rural areas. But after taking up the project Access to womens health services in coloboration with KHSDP, the focus changes from cancer to improving the health of women and children in rural areas. Some of the main activities of the trust are conducting of rural health camps, creating awareness on different health issues lilke menstrual hygiene, right age for marriage, STD/RTI, AIDS, Cancer, etc., helping malnourished children, construction of a fuel efficient stoves in rural areas, etc.
