Project Description

India is a young nation with 70% of 700 million people below 35 years of age . India is driven by youth power today, especially in the field of information technology. But there is another India that craves for education and empowerment. It is this India that requires a lot of more focus on education and vocational training. The rural youth invariably migrates to urban areas due to lack of employment opportunities. Since most of them are school dropouts, the pure academic qualification provides limited employment opportunies. Rural youth capital is one of the major inputs for their improvement of quality of life. This is very important in the case of people from low income families. Majority of the rural youths are unemployed, some of them are working as agricultural coolies earning a Rs.30/- as their daily wage. After our training period, they will be empowered to work in production or create self employment units with a capacity of earning a minimum wage of Rs. 100 to 150/- daily and Rs.3000/- to 4500/- monthly. So, the proposed project will provide skill /training program on following trade such as: 1 Modern Dress-making and embroidery 2. Jute bag making 3. DTP computer operation. This training will create income and employment opportunities and solve unemployment problems amongst the youth in our rural areas.
