Project Description

The objective of Friends of CanSupport is to form a network of people to educate, sensitize and recruit members of the public into a network of support so as to create a caring and supportive society where people with cancer and their families live with dignity, hope and comfort. The core thought behind this project is create a wide network and support group for cancer patients so as to create "a caring and supportive society where people with cancer and their families live with dignity, hope and comfort".
 
It seeks to involve volunteers to provide services to cancer patients and rally for the cause for cancer care and support. Volunteers are needed to help design innovative campaigns to spread awareness and try changing attitudes of public to the disease.
 
The main objectives of the Friends of CanSupport will be: 1. To provide all kinds of help and assistance to CanSupport to enable it to expand its Palliative Care services to the under-served sections of the population. 2. To help sensitize people to the plight of those afflicted by life-limiting conditions such as cancer, and win more supporters to the cause. 3. To raise recourses and spread awareness of CanSupport and it's Home Care and Support Services programme which is aimed solely at reducing the needless pain, suffering and anxiety of cancer patients. 4. To change attitudes so that people who have had cancer and could be rehabilitated back into the society.
