Educational Support for Out of School and School Going Children

In the Madurai district, Usilampatti block children are most commonly employed in brick chambers, biscuit making, pickle industries, and agriculture assistants. They are also employed in hotels and two wheeler workshops. These are the children who are the focus of our child labor eradication program. Every human being in the society has his or her own rights. He or she has the right to live and the right to choose his or her occupation. A child has one more right, and that is to study and enjoy his/her childhood. Yet in practice the child in most cases is denied this right. Our motivational centers focus on remedial education to asses and address each child’s learning needs to help them prepare for an easy transition to mainstream education. Supplementary centers will retain the school going students in a right way.The motivational education center teaches basic reading, writing and provides play materials. The center teaches the following subjects: Maths, English, Science as well as helps with homework
