I am Indian student studying in U.S. I have experienced two completely different lifestyles in these two completely different countries.
Before I came here, I always wondered why the American people led a happy life than most of our people. I used to think that it was because the U.S.A. is less populated. It has abundant supply of resources and the Americans are highly educated people.
Now I think India’s slow development has roots in its colonial history. It took us a long time to recover from that… I am still not able to understand how long it would take for us to fully recover from it… I don’t know how many decades it would take us to be developed nation.
The hope, the anguish, the desire, the sorrow for my country is all in me, can't express it out. I never wanted to be here (in the U.S.), destiny has brought me here… Maybe it was competition! I want to get back and do something for a better India but shit man I am caught up in this life with family, future, greed, money. A revolution had to take place inside me to awaken my spirit.
And I woke up. Did you?
