In fact, I was just going thru their website, www.maricoinnovationfoundation.org and I came to know that they have also recognized TATA Chem and TERI for creating a green ecosystem out of soda ash. solid waste dump in Malara, a place in Gujarat. Tata Chemicals greened Malara, by the use of bio fertilizers and bioremedian techniques. For the first time in the world, a highly alkaline and saline site has been recovered to successfully develop a green cover with a living eco system.They have actually helped slow down the effects of global warming thru this! Marico is truly doing a great job by recognizing these organizations. Guys go ccheck out their website to see the other awardees.

Disagree! we need we need social organizations to champion green
do you know that there are lots of social organizations who are doing everything they can to reuse and recycle too.
