I studied in one of those top convent schools in my city with a name enough to get people's attention, grew up in a respectable locality among 'proud and educated people', went to a well recognized French institute but everywhere I went there was one thing (among a few others of course ) which stood out most prominently- the lack of civic sense!
My school presented the first jolt to my conscience when every day after the recess I would see huge grounds dotted with empty chip packets, candy wrappers, papers and stuff all around! I couldn't understand how adolescents having completed a considerable part of their education could mock their own knowledge so ruthlessly! The sheer gaiety with which people indulge in this shameful act can be clear from this incidence when I sat with some acquaintances at a wedding dinner and all of them thoughtlessly threw their empty ice-cream cups right in front of our seats! Their logic to the act being "we are guests from the bride-groom's side why should we bother with all this?"
That was a time when I even told off strangers for this but my enthusiasm wilted gradually when I witnessed this being the case not only with my schoolmates but simply everywhere one went! Be it the terribly gross sight presented by spit stains at walls in all public offices, banks etc., be it a rich trader disposing off wastes in the next street or be it our own family members unabashedly flinging that bottle out of the car window. The practice is most common boasting of billions of loyal followers!

The question which arises here is-

WHY? We don’t tolerate a piece of waste lying around in our homes but whenever we cross that big garbage dump in the street ALL WE DO is just habitually covering our noses and fastening up our pace.
WHY? We keep our homes, cars and workplace spotlessly clean but when some foreigners visit OUR HOME-INDIA what they witness is pigs happily having an uninterrupted exploration into the gross garbage heap, carrying an unbearable stench and a sure promise of deadly diseases, piling up IN EVERY OTHER STREET.

Well its dire time we wake up and overcome this ignorance which has now become synonymous with us Indians carrying on a bad name all over the world!
If you wish to stop talking and DO SOMETHING to change this….
And If you too want to DO YOUR BIT to realize the catch-phrase ‘INCREDIBLE INDIA’
Then this is the TIME TO ACT…..to follow what we preach right from this moment onwards.
IT STARTS FROM THIS FIRST STEP...ONE CAN ALWAYS DO MORE :) :)
